NEW YORK — Mayor Eric Adams announced a leadership shake in NYCHA on Thursday, just days after tenants of the Jacob Riis Houses feared.
Greg Russ, who was hired by former Mayor Bill de Blasio, has stepped down as CEO of public housing.
Russ will be replaced by an interim CEO while a national search for a new leader is underway. He will remain with the agency for the time being, but is expected to announce his resignation soon.
The fear of arsenic was attributed to poorly conducted tests by an environmental company.
