Amazon will acquire iRobot in cash for about $1.7 billion, the robot vacuum maker said Friday. The world’s largest online retailer will acquire the company for $61 (nearly Rs. 4,800) per share, valuing the company at a 22 percent premium over the stock’s last closing price.
Colin Angle will remain the CEO of iRobot after the deal closes.
