Australian cricket legend Andrew Symonds dies in car accident

Former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds died in a car crash on Hervey Range Road near the Alice River Bridge in Queensland, Australia, a statement from Queensland Police said on Saturday evening.

Symonds, 46, is the third Australian cricketing legend to die suddenly this year following the tragic deaths of Shane Warne and Rod Marsh in March.

Reports said Symonds had been involved in a single incident involving a vehicle in Hervey Range, 50km from Townsville on Saturday night.
