Big Brother’s Anthony Drew Reveals Scenes Rigged By Producers And Roommates Forced To ‘Redo Shocked Reactions’

Anthony Drew has revealed some surprising behind-the-scenes production secrets at Big Brother Australia.

Talk to 7Entertainment Wednesday after his expulsion, the 33-year-old revealed that a number of scenes from this season were actually faked.

Drew, who first competed on Big Brother in 2013, said the housemates were forced to redo some scenes because “OG stars” kept ruining the show’s secrets for new contestants.

‘[The original housemates would say], “It was not what we used to do”. “Or they’d try to guess or spoil the surprises for newbies who never went through things and…maybe didn’t expect the twists and turns of the production,” Drew said.

“So it was boring,” he added.

Drew specifically blamed original stars Tully Smyth and Estelle Landy for correctly guessing many of the competition’s twists right before they happened.

“So we had to redo some ‘look at the excited housemates’ type takes,” he lamented.

Drew was kicked out on Monday night following a blind shock from his friend Aleisha Campbell.

Despite the betrayal, it appears the pair have maintained their friendship outside the Big Brother house, as Aleisha wrote a heartfelt message to Drew on Thursday morning.

“The one thing I liked about Drew’s game was that he understood that it was all just a game. That’s why we clicked, we played with name combinations to evict than no one else would,” she wrote on Instagram.

Aleisha said she “cried her eyes out” at the thought of taking Drew by surprise, but insisted it was the best strategic decision she could have made.

Drew made headlines during the 2013 season when he began a relationship with Tully, despite being in a relationship with then-girlfriend Tahlia Farrant.

Big Brother Australia continues Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 7.
