Darlings, Vijay Varma’s most recent film, which also starred Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah, is a commercial success. In the midst of it all, he updated his Instagram account with new behind-the-scenes photos. He also discussed the unfavorable comments he has received online since the film’s release.
In the photos, Vijay can be seen on his phone dressed as Hamza from Darlings. Amid the busy filming schedule, he stretched out his arms in some shots while looking at the camera in others. He portrayed the abusive and drunk husband Hamza, an Indian Railways ticket controller, in the film.
Vijay shared the photos, writing: “Hamza is tired of reading all the online hate he gets #darlings BTS.”
Negative role actor Vijay Varma recently discussed how people made fun of him by claiming he is not Shah Rukh Khan and how things changed when he joined SRK’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment.
While interacting with The Switzerland Times, the Gully Boy actor said: “The underdog who came here ten years ago feels seen now. I took several leaps, risks and chances at the cost of tearing apart almost my entire family. ran away from home so they all feel a lot of peace now they were afraid i would make it it’s not easy to go to mumbai and become someone i was told ‘tu shah rukh khan nahi hai’ but now Shah Rukh Khan employed me for his film.”
He also said: ‘Now that I have a small body of work, I can’t afford to repeat what I’ve done before. So that becomes one of the criteria when choosing the script. The other is to understand what I’m doing in the film and the third, and the most important, is what the film does, what it says and how well it says it.”
