China’s Deng Yaping has the perfect Olympics record, playing in 1992 in Barcelona and four years later in Atlanta; on both occasions she won the women’s singles and, with Qiao Hong, the women’s doubles.
Shortly after Atlanta, while studying at the University of Nottingham in England, she thought back to her successes at the Olympics.
