The first weekend of the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta is over and the second weekend is about to begin.
Weekend #1 was all about PlayStation. Despite Microsoft’s ongoing acquisition of Activision, the PlayStation/Call Of Duty deal remains in effect for now. If Microsoft’s buyout goes according to plan, this will be the last year we see PS4 and PS5 gamers get a head start on a Call Of Duty release.
This time, however, PC and Xbox gamers had to wait. They can dive back into two different beta phases this weekend. Here’s how it breaks down:
Modern Warfare II beta weekend #2 Early Access begins Thursday, September 22 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET. This is open to all PlayStation gamers as well as PC and Xbox gamers who have pre-ordered or have an Early Access key.
Content creators, like yours, give away keys ahead of beta. Watch the video below for instructions on how to get a beta key on PC or Xbox:
The open beta, which includes all players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, begins Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
The beta was a controversial introduction to Modern Warfare II, with some divisive gameplay decisions, such as removing enemy nameplates that stir the pot. I’m curious what everyone thinks about it.
