Houma police accuse mother of attempted murder. Accuse her of throwing baby off bridge


Houma police have charged a woman with attempted first-degree murder after she allegedly threw her 18-month-old child off Liberty Bridge in Bayou Terrebonne on Friday.

The child was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, Detective Chief Travis Theriot said.

Asha Randolph is in custody.

The incident is under investigation and police will release more details at a later date, Theriot said.
