Buoyed by recent heroics, veteran Dinesh Karthik jumped 108 places to 87th in the latest ICC T20 batting rankings, even as young flyhalf Ishan Kishan broke into the top 10. Kishan finished the series with two half centuries against South Africa. and was the leading run scorer with 206 runs at an average of 41. This form catapulted the southpaw one spot to sixth in the latest T20 rankings for hitters. Karthik has been in excellent form since the IPL 2022 and had some blistering shots in the T20 series against South Africa.

Pakistani skipper Babar Azam still holds the No. 1 spot in the T20 batting rankings and Kishan is the only Indian player ranked in the top 10.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the tallest player in the T20 standings for bowlers, with the Indian spinner jumping three places to 23rd after his six wickets in the South African series.

Josh Hazlewood retains his position as the top-ranked T20 bowler, with Afghan spinner Rashid Khan (joint third) and Sri Lankan tweaker Wanindu Hasaranga (sixth) both earning a spot in the top 10.

Ravindra Jadeja retains his top spot in the versatile testers list with 385 points. He is currently in the UK for India’s next test against England, a spillover from last year’s five-game series, which could not be completed due to a COVID outbreak. -19.

Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan moved up to second with 346 points, although he still has a long way to go if he wants to overtake Jadeja at the top of the list.

Fast West Indian Kemar Roach also made his way onto the updated list of bowlers, with the veteran right-hander jumping four places to eighth after an impressive display against Bangladesh.

Speedy Australian Pat Cummins tops the list of Test bowlers with 901 points.
