The four-day tour match between India and Leicestershire kicked off on Thursday. At Day 1 strains, India’s score was 246/8 with KS Bharat (70*) and Mohammed Shami (18*) in the pocket. Rain interrupted play three times on the first day and it was because of the rain that the first stumps had to be called. On Day 2 there may be some downtime as showers are also expected in Leicester on Friday.

According to Accuweather, there is a chance of showers at 11:00 a.m. UK time, and that’s around the time Day 2 is due to start. Cloud cover at that time is expected to be 70% while 0.2mm of rain may fall.

For the next two hours cloud cover is expected to remain and again at 2pm UK time there is a chance of showers with 0.5mm of precipitation expected. Cloud cover should remain at 70%.

Then, from 3pm to 6pm UK time, there is less chance of rain and the weather should remain pleasant.

Bharat will look to reminisce about the well-deserved century on day two of the current four-day game against Leicestershire. It was Bharat who was the bright spot with the bat for India after the first order fell cheap and there was no resistance.
