So when Ja Morant called out the Splash Brother for living in his head “rent-free,” Ryen Russillo took a huge chunk out of a recent episode of “The Ryan Russillo Podcast” to address it.

“If you bring him back to the Memphis part of the Golden State part, does Ja Morant,” lamented Russillo, “who was again eliminated [and] did not play in the remainder of the series. And then the team they call wins another NBA championship and Ja moves to the default rent-free line as a throwback to the Warriors. And I think, like, wait, you can just say rent-free when you’re kind of a landlord for a season? Because that’s exactly what happened.

“Golden State beat you guys,” he continued. “You haven’t participated in the matches. They continued. They won a championship. So like it or not, they can say all this now because winners, winners write history.

To be fair, Russillo’s tone throughout the segment is lighthearted, and he admits he enjoys the budding rivalry and gossip between the Grizzlies and Warriors.
