Producers had hoped Vander would return for the series, sources told TMZ, but the constant traveling between Miami and Los Angeles had been a pain for him.

Vander, who was not present at the MTV Movie Awards with the show’s cast in Los Angeles earlier this month, would have enjoyed her time on the show, sources told the outlet.

News of Vander’s exit from the show follows her announcement that she had a miscarriage, six months after giving birth to her stillborn son. Vander announced the sad news on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday with a photo of his son Aiden, three, as he slept.

“I had a very crazy week. Miscarriage after 10 weeks… due to my stillbirth… but my children and my husband are absolutely my blessing and I’m so lucky to be there mum!’

She continued, “They bring me joy and happiness in my life!! Hug and love the people you care about. Don’t take things for granted! by adding a prayer emoji.

Maya is married to David Amar and they share two children: Aiden and two-year-old daughter Elle.

Six months before her miscarriage, Maya suffered a devastating stillbirth.

She revealed the news on her social media with a photo of a keepsake box donated by the hospital.

In the heartbreaking message, Maya wrote, “I had a stillbirth at 38 weeks. I’ve always heard about it but I never imagined that I would be part of the statistics… Instead of giving birth, I go home with a box of memories… I don’t wish that on anyone. What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare I never imagined would happen to me…”

‘Since I share my pregnancies on the show, I knew I should post this and avoid the “when is your due date” question. You will always be in our heart Mason Miller,’ she wrote in the post shared in November.

“Everyone deals with their loss in their own way, but for me I find the key is to stay busy. A healthy distraction always keeps me going.

Adding that it helps to “get down to business, socialize with people, get your body moving (endorphins) and someone to talk to.” From my experiences, I know the pain of loss will not heal overnight, but today is a great day to begin or continue to move the healing process forward.

Maya said at the season five reunion that her son died in a “freak accident” due to umbilical cord compression.

“It’s been four and a half months and time is helping. I want to say thank you to each and every one of you, whenever shit hits the fan, everyone was so nice here. Life happens, we don’t know how things will turn out. I was 38 weeks old and it was an abnormal accident.

She continued: ‘We just got the autopsy back and it was just a bad accident with the cord. Mixed with swallowed placenta.

“But I’m much better and I have my husband, he’s amazing. My kids are great. They allow me to continue, to work and I am busy. I don’t have time to sit and cry all day, I have my moments, it’s part of the grief, and just take this opportunity to raise the voice of stillbirth and pregnancy loss ‘, she said.
