Nissan Motor India has reached an important milestone by exporting and distributing one million Nissan vehicles to 108 countries from the factory of Renault-Nissan Automotive India Ltd. (RNAIPL) in Chennai. The company has been exporting its vehicles from this factory since September 2010. On July 28, Frank Torres, President, Nissan India, members of Nissan’s management team, alongside M Gunasekaran, GM-Finance & Operations, and Captain GM Balan, GM-Marine Services, marked the millionth vehicle, a Nissan Magnite, flagged for export from the port of Kamarajar.

Nissan India exported the 10,000,000th vehicle on July 28, 2022.
Nissan India has exported vehicles from Chennai’s Kamarajar Port Ltd to various regions, including countries in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, SAARC countries and sub-Saharan and Africa. In recent years, Nissan India has moved its primary export market from Europe to countries in the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. In addition, the main model for the exported company is the Nissan Magnite.

Since its inception, the RNAIPL plant has invested $1.5 billion in the Indian economy, creating employment for more than 40,000 workers. In recent months, the plant has accelerated operations to respond to the increasing demand for the Nissan Magnite in the Indian and foreign markets.
