HD Kumaraswamy, former chief minister of Karnataka and secular leader of Janata Dal, has alleged that the Law Enforcement Directorate (DE) harassed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case with repeated questioning .
“Rahul Gandhi is constantly called for inquiries. Five days to enquire? All registrations and information are available at ED. They can complete all inquiries within half an hour,” Kumaraswamy told reporters.
He alleged that the president of the Karnataka Entrepreneurs Association had written to the Prime Minister and complained about the 40% commission. “Why wasn’t the investigation done here?” asked the leader of the JD-S.
He alleged that the interrogation of Rahul Gandhi was done for “political reasons”.
