Ranbir Kapoor called 2022 a “life-changing” year. After a 4-year hiatus, the actor teamed up with two big-budget actors, Shamshera and Brahmastra. Apart from his films, Ranbir has also made a major change in his personal life. Ranbir has finally settled down with his love Alia Bhatt, and he thinks his life has changed forever. Fans of Ranbir remember her vision of weddings from her blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. This dialogue where Bunny (Ranbir) compares the shaadi to a tasteless dal chawal, does that mean anything to you? Well, now the actor has a different take on marriage, and it will surprise you.
At the Shamshera trailer launch press conference, Ranbir shared her perspective on life after marriage and said, “Yeh bahut bada saal raha hai mere liye. Meri shaadi hui iss saal. Woh bahut khoobsurat cheez hui mere life mein. Main hi kehta tha filmon mein ki ‘shaadi is dal chawal for 50 saal until you die. life mein thoda bahut Tangdi Kabab, Keema Pav, Hakka Noodle hona chaiye.’ But boss…zindagi ke tajurbe ke baad…dal chawal hi best hai, aur kuch nahi.” Ranbir also added that Alia made her life fulfilling and called her the tadka in the dal chawal. “Meri life mein Alia…dal chawal ka tadka hai, achaar hai, kanda hai, pyaaz hai…sab kuch hai. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner.”
This is what Ranbir said about Alia
Ahead of the Shamshera trailer, Ranbir said he wished his late father Rishi Kapoor was alive to see his next actor. Ranbir said, “I really wish my dad was alive to see this movie. He was always blatantly honest in his reviews if he liked something or if he didn’t like something, especially with my work. So it’s sad that he doesn’t see it. But I’m really excited that I got to make a movie like this and I hope that somewhere up there he’s watching over me and proud of me. Shamshera hits theaters on July 22.
