Train strikes seem to be a regular occurrence at the moment, as many transport workers choose to walk away due to disputes over wages, job security and the cost of living.

This month will see further strikes by transport workers across the country, as well as some strikes in the airline industry that will affect Spain and Portugal.

While the threat of additional travel chaos for thousands of British Airways passengers has been lifted after workers suspended strike plans at London Heathrow airport, train or tube strikes have been confirmed in mid-August for some of the busiest travel weeks.
