Sri Lanka will kick off their 2022 Asia Cup campaign with a game against Afghanistan on Saturday, August 27. The team was dealt a blow to the tournament when their top pacer Dushmantha Chameera was excluded from the continental event. The third team in Sri Lanka’s group is Bangladesh, so a good win in the opening game should be the team’s goal. Sri Lanka is entering the event after winning 246 over Pakistan in a test match in July.
