Police said the student attempted to park his blue Subaru outside his apartment near Saint Joe’s University on Tuesday evening.
Then, as the 21-year-old student got out of his car, police say two men wearing ski masks pulled up in a van, announced the theft, and then attempted to steal the car.
Officers also say the suspects attempted to take the student’s keys, but a fight broke out and the victim was whipped with a pistol in front of one of the suspects and then shot the student in the knee. The suspects then left without taking his vehicle.
