ARLINGTON, Texas (TSWT) – It’s a rare night that the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers both play home games.
That means more than a hundred thousand sports fans gather in the neighboring stadiums in Arlington, causing a lot of excitement but also traffic problems.
There’s a lot more interest in the Cowboys here tonight, even if their game doesn’t count.
With the Rangers struggling, the return of football is breathing new life into DFW’s sports world.
It’s their first ever visit to AT&T Stadium – Randy Glasgow and his family dress up for the occasion because they’re longtime Cowboys fans.
“Die hard,” said Glasgow. “We have looked at home and now that we finally have the chance to come, we are excited
“I feel really pumped up and very excited,” said fan Randal Glasgow.
It will also be the first time the Ramirez family will see Globe Life Field in person, despite being staunch fans of the Rangers.
“First time in the stadium and I’ve never been to a baseball game, so I’m pretty excited,” said Claudia Ramirez.
While Rangers fans went straight to the stadium, Cowboys tailgaters enjoyed pregame parties in the parking lot.
“I think it’s going to be a challenge, an offensive line that will definitely take some hits,” said Cowboys fan Corey Johnson.
The Rangers are now fighting for attention, but their fans will argue that their game tonight is still better than the pre-season football.
“Texas Rangers, definitely a preseason game for the Cowboys, I personally find them very boring,” Johnson said.
Some of these fans might be shocked when they leave, because Highway 360, which runs north and south, is just east of the entertainment district..
It can cause many people to come home early in the morning.
