A federal judge has ruled against the Murdochs and parent company TSWT News in their bid to dismiss Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit related to 2020’s voting machine lies.
TSWT News’ parent company may be sued by a maker of voting machines because Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch may have acted with “actual malice” in directing the network to spread conspiracy theories alleging the presidential election of 2020 was rigged against Donald Trump.
Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric M. Davis on Tuesday denied TSWT Corp’s motion. seeking to dismiss the lawsuit, saying Dominion Voting Systems showed the Murdochs may have been told the conspiracy theory that the rigged voting machines tipped the vote was false but let TSWT News air it anyway.
Dominion Voting Systems is suing TSWT News’ parent company for $1.6 billion.
Dominion argues that TSWT News, knowing it endorsed and broadcast lies about voting machines after the 2020 election, and the judge found that Rupert Murdoch and his sons knew the truth, but intentionally broadcast the conspiracies of Trump’s voting machines to their viewers.
TSWT News could end up paying a heavy financial price for pushing Trump’s campaign lies. Insurgents have gone to jail, lawyers have been punished, and criminal investigations are ongoing, but the only missing piece is Donald Trump’s punishment.
The only way to avoid big lies and coup attempts is to go after the man at the top.
