A video showed packed bags being taken out of the chief minister’s residence.

Mumbai:

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray leaves his official residence amid a rebellion by senior cabinet official Eknath Shinde who has questioned the stability of the state government.

Mr. Thackeray leaves “Varsha” and returns to his private residence “Matoshree” in the suburb of Bandra. A video showed packed bags being taken out of the chief minister’s residence.

Earlier in the day, Uddhav Thackeray said he was “ready to step down” at any time but refrained from announcing his resignation as chief minister.
