A woman is furious after a white van was parked on the pavement outside the house – all 50cm from her front door.
Margherita Mecenero was leaving her home in the suburb of Stoke in Etruria when she found the vehicle just outside.
Another vehicle then arrived and blocked his car.

Margherita, 47, who works for Bet365, called the driver, who eventually apologized before moving the van.
But she says the cul-de-sac has been plagued with parking problems since she arrived four years ago – and she is now demanding the council crack down on inconsiderate motorists.

“I opened the door around 10 a.m. to get to my car, which was parked in front of the house. Right in front of me, I had this van parked on the sidewalk. I didn’t know what to say,’ she told Stoke on Trent Live.
“It was blocking my door so I was like ‘Hello’ to see if anyone was there because the back of the van was wide open.
“They are building two houses away from mine. He parked in front of mine and my neighbor’s door, [even though] there were other places to park.
She added: “Parking is crazy…There’s always been a traffic problem.
“We feel like we’re not supported in this area and no one cares or respects the people who live here. This example was really extreme because it had never happened before where it was right outside the door.
“There should be signs or cameras to say if you park like that you will be fined. The council needs to look after this area a little better.
Rules around parking on the carriageway could change, with the Department for Transport “actively considering” a ban.

Curbside parking is only illegal in London at the moment, but a new ban would cover the whole of England. Drivers outside can currently park on the sidewalk, although it is illegal to drive on the sidewalk.
However, motorists blocking the paths cause problems for pedestrians – and especially for the elderly, the disabled and those with prams or pushchairs.
A spokesperson for LeaseCar.uk said: “At the moment there is a significant gray area when it comes to curbside parking.
“Although people are advised to keep the pavements clear for pedestrians, there are many places in the UK where the roads are so narrow that you have no choice but to park your car on the curb.”
