You can now snowboard with Shaun White in Jackson Hole

Snowboard fans may be sad that Shaun White is no longer in the game. But now they can have an even cooler experience. Caldera House in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, just announced it would be launching a new program where you can hit the slopes with the three-time Olympic gold medalist.

Starting this winter, the Caldera House x Shaun White Signature Snowboarding Experience will give interested guests access to the greatest snowboarder of all time. The unique offering begins with a private session at Caldera House’s gear shop, the Mudroom, which is run by local ski technicians and outfitters. These experts will find the right gear for your skill level and current snow conditions. Then it’s time to hit the slopes with the Olympian in the beautiful Tetons.

After you prepare, White will meet you on the mountain for a full day of riding. You can learn new skills from the pro or just enjoy some hours of shredding. While that would be enough for any snowboarding enthusiast, the experience goes one step further with some après-ski time with White. On your return from the once-in-a-lifetime adventure, enjoy an intimate dinner in Caldera House’s cozy members lounge.

Of course you want to rest after a wild day. The package therefore also includes accommodation in one of the luxurious suites of Caldera House. Plus, lift tickets are also included if you plan on staying longer to hit the slopes a few more times without White.

“Since Caldera House opened, we have been committed to delivering unique seasonal experiences that encourage guests to take advantage of Jackson Hole’s remarkable backdrop,” Nina Libby, Vice President of Marketing at Caldera House, told me. “We are excited to partner with Shaun White on a signature snowboarding experience, offering guests the opportunity to ride the Tetons with the most decorated snowboarder of all time.”

So, how much does it cost to spend the day with a five-time Olympian? The experience costs $185,000 and a maximum of six people can participate.

But Caldera House isn’t the only hotel offering access to world-class athletes. For example, the Four Seasons Hualalai in Hawaii offers guests two rare and adventurous experiences. One includes a multi-day session with freediver champion Kimi Werner.

You get to spend two half days with Werner, starting with a lesson in the property’s brackish King’s Pond onsite. Then you’ll learn the basics of freediving and safety precautions before freediving into the ocean world the next day. All the while, Werner’s husband and photographer Justin Turkowski is snapping photos of the adventure so you can brag about the incredible feat at home. And that’s all now; the experience ends with a four-course private dinner.

For those looking to learn more about triathlons or improve their skills, the resort offers a five-day course with six-time Ironman champion Dave Scott. The clinic is fully customized and includes a tailored post-camp training program so you can take what you’ve learned home with you.
